When considering entering the driving instructing industry you need to be sure it's something you want to do and something you will enjoy doing. Certain qualities are needed in a driving instructor to make sure you're going to stick with the job you will invest your time and money into.
The first quality an instructor needs is patience, without this quality the career isn't for you as learner drivers do take a while to grasp things you teach them. This is an important quality but unlike the others so far is a quality that can be learnt. Even try setting your clock five minutes in front so you're always ahead of yourself. Most find their own way of making sure they're on time for the job but it would help if you already have this quality before starting your driving instructor training.
It's one thing been late, but it's another not turning up at all! Reliability is the next important quality when thinking about entering this industry. An instructor who never turns up is about as good as a kettle that doesn't boil and you need to make sure that you always turn up for your clients when they have booked lessons with you.
The final quality that will make you right for the job is organisation. You're a teacher and you must plan and be as organised as a school teacher would be. You need to keep track of when your pupils are booked in and have lessons planned for them which takes a lot of organisation.
